DOULOS - Strong's G1401....Adjective; Feminine Noun; Masculine Noun.

DEFINITION: A slave; bondservant; a man of servile condition.  Someone who belongs to another; a bond-slave, without any ownership rights of their own.

Many of Paul's epistles begin with the greeting, "Paul, a bond-servant of Christ"....this is where the word "doulos" is used in the original Greek translations.
